Hello Manchester Families! We’ve had a great first month of exciting learning and fun to start the 24-25 school year! We want to highlight some important dates below in this newsletter as well as share some photos of the great things happening at Manchester!
Health Fair! The Health Fair field trip to Point Arena High School is taking place this Wednesday, October 2nd. All students will be attending this field trip, grades K-8. If we do not have a local field trip permission slip on file, we will contact you to ensure we have your permission for your child to attend. We are looking forward to another great time at this event!
Back to School Night is here! Please join us on Friday, October, 11th from 6-7p.m. to celebrate Back to School Night! Parents will attend this event with their child. Students will take parents on a scavenger hunt throughout the campus sharing about their learning and the school environment. There will be light snacks provided. We hope to see you there!
Picture Day! Picture Day is right around the corner occurring on October 15th. Forms will be coming home with students or you will be able to place your photo orders online.
Kids Run the Coast! Have you seen our students running the coast? We are so proud of our students who have joined this club. We run the local beaches and surrounding area every Tuesday and Thursday during the after-school program. We have some very talented runners and it is a great time where we build friendships, support a healthy lifestyle, and practice teamwork together! Our students run about 2.5 miles on each of our trips!
Personalized Learning Model- Our instruction this year has focused on an accelerated learning model that occurs in small groups with our teachers while our students rotate through zones of learning. Please take a look at some of these engaging lessons below!
The Wildcat Store! Have you heard about our Wildcat Store that happens every Friday? Students work hard throughout the week by demonstrating safe, responsible, respectful, and leadership behaviors. Student can earn Wildcat Cards for their hard work and purchase items at the school's Wildcat Store. If you have any items that you would like to donate to our school for the Wildcat Store, we would greatly appreciate it!
Advanced Art Workshop! Ms. Blake has returned again this year to help provide a robust art experience for our middle school age students during the day and for our 5th/6th-grade students during the after school program on Mondays. Please come check out one of the workshops and view the amazing art at our Back to School Event.
